MENTORING
Build the clarity and courage you need to create a life and career that are genuinely your own.
You know you have more in you than what's currently coming out. Life has started to feel like you're performing a version of yourself that's stopped fitting. And you're standing at a threshold. My role as a liberation mentor is to help you understand what's getting in the way, develop the tools and perspective to move beyond it, and take the real-world steps toward becoming more fully yourself. Through 1:1 mentoring, we’ll work from the outside in and the inside out, uncovering what matters to you, challenging the beliefs and patterns that limit you, and turning self-awareness into purposeful action.
INWARDS & UPWARDS: THE PRACTICE
OF UNBOUND SELF-EXPRESSION.
The world has plenty of ideas about who we're supposed to be, what we're supposed to want, and what a successful life is supposed to look like. Most of us absorb more of those ideas than we realize.
Some are useful. Some aren't. All served a purpose.
Inwards & Upwards is about getting curious about all of it.
We'll look at the stories you've inherited, the rules you've adopted, the roles you've taken on, and the assumptions you rarely question. Then we'll experiment with what happens when you loosen your grip on some of them.
Creativity is a big part of that.
Not because everyone needs to become an artist, but because making room for vulnerability, curiosity, play, experimentation, and possibility can change what you see and what you believe is possible. It helps us get beyond the answers we already have and imagine ones we haven't considered.
That's what I mean by unbound self-expression. Not simply expressing what's already inside you, but giving yourself enough freedom to discover what's there in the first place.
The practice is organized around five interconnected ideas:
IDENTIFICATION — recognizing what matters, what gets in the way, and what wants to emerge.
INSPIRATION — finding the people, ideas, experiences, and possibilities that expand what you can imagine.
EXPRESSION — turning what's inside you into something tangible, whether that's a creative practice, a business idea, a career change, or a different way of living.
CONNECTION — building relationships and environments that support who you're becoming.
NURTURE — creating the conditions and practices that allow it to grow and become part of your life.
These aren't steps to complete. They're dimensions of a fully expressed life, and they often overlap, circle back, and evolve as you do.
HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
Every engagement starts with a conversation about where you are, what's going on, and what you want to work toward. From there, we'll figure out what kind of support makes sense.
I bring a framework built from a lifetime of creating, teaching, mentoring, experimenting, failing, and figuring out what actually helps.
The work begins by getting clear on what lights you up, what you want your life to look and feel like, and what has to be present for you to feel aligned. We'll identify your North Star and your non-negotiables, giving you a clearer sense of what you're moving toward and why.
From there, we'll put that vision into action and navigate the perceived obstacles along the way—whether they're practical, emotional, creative, relational, or simply ideas you've carried about what's possible for you.
People aren't linear, so I don't expect the work to be either.
Mentoring begins with a three-month commitment. The first month is a focused foundation, typically involving three to four sessions. Months two and three generally move into putting the work into action, with sessions typically every two weeks. From month four onward, mentoring continues month-to-month for as long as we both find the work valuable.
The exact focus and cadence can evolve as your needs change. There are no predetermined packages or prescribed path through the work. We'll decide together what to focus on based on what you're actually working through.
The goal isn't to give you a formula for your life. It's to help you understand what you want, what's standing between you and it, and develop the clarity, courage, and tools to move toward it.
SO, HOW DID I GET HERE?
My childhood dream became reality at 32. I'd worked with some of the best creative companies in the world. On paper, I'd made it. In practice, I'd become someone else to get there, and I didn't know how to find my way back. And then I found my footing, and everything started to change for the better…
